Wegner Family | Austin Family and Newborn Portraits

THE WEGNER BOYS ….

Sounds like a great name for a country band to me, or the title for an adventure book series about 3 curious action heroes,  or a group of 3 muskateers banded together by birth and destiny.

These boys could fall under any of the above titles and then some.  Packed with fun, delightfully playful and a soon-to-be handful for mom and dad, they are a ball to be around and so much fun to photograph!  We’ve luckily been asked to photograph each boy when he was first born and it’s been so interesting to see whose characteristics they’ve picked up along the way.   Mom’s eyes and Dad’s smile, switched back and forth between the 3 sons, but each with a charming personality all their own.  Iit’s easy to tell them apart even though I just know they’re united in mischief for their folks!

Can’t wait to see them again.  Will it be with a 4th son – or a family portrait of mom and dad running after the fast and furiously quick 3 wise-men?  Don’t you think they need a dog?

Morgan | Austin Senior Portraits

Morgan arrived for her senior pictures direct from her family lake house, so she was relaxed, refreshed and full swing into spring break. She chose a 100 session, all outdoors, combining our portrait garden with a favorite spot on Bull Creek that is bursting with spring flowers & a beautiful stream. We photographed her sister Chelsea a few years ago, and Morgan brought her younger sister Haley along for makeup consultant, stylist and all around reflector assistant. Thanks for all your help, Haley!

Brent | Austin Senior Portraits

Brent is the 3rd of three Miller kids we’ve photographed for that big happy family. Last week was a big week: Saturday Brent was a grooms man in his sister’s wedding, Monday senior pictures! Later this spring, a brother graduating from college ….
I think Brent’s a business man at heart, In not only his Deca project but Entrepreneurship class project both all but finished. (perhaps you’ll one day be planning your dorm rooms with an online design kit he’s perfecting. I think he’s having a hard time choosing majors – he seems a natural for business, but has a real knack for architecture. Also tells me he loves  to hunt,…. anything that flies or has 4 legs, … or crawls (yeah to that!!) …don’t ask what he’s got stored in a cooler. Look out Ducks Unlimited

Sarah | Austin Senior Portraits

It’s all about Austin! Well really, it’s all about Sarah! But she wanted her safari to be all about how great it is to live in Austin. We headed downtown into the SXSW melee early Friday morning of Spring Break. I’ve learned, that if you want great shots downtown during that happening event, but you still want to be able to get from one spot to another …. you’ve got to show up before the morning street sweepers! And Sarah was all for it!

Check out Sarah’s images, and see if you recognize some of places that make Austin weird, wacky, wonderful and lively! Sarah’s ideas for a safari were so creative …. I just couldn’t resist adding a few extra sneak peeks!

Sarah’s a senior at St. Michael’s. She’s been debating college in at either The university of San Diego, Davison College in N. Carolina, or UT. Hmmmm, what would your vote be after looking at her senior safari?

Jordan | Austin Senior Portraits

Jordan has a nice little connection with the The Driskill Hotel so we had a great time wandering around that beautiful historical building photographing before we headed out to the town before we ended up at the ball park. A senior safari …photo shoot FULL of character and Jordan’s amazing personality. Jordan is a key player on the Westwood softball team and will be headed up to the Windy City to pitch for the University of Chicago next year.  For now, Enjoy Jordan.

Jillian | Austin Senior Portraits

I had so much fun photographing Jillian on the Friday morning of Easter break – good Friday!  She’s such an interesting person and so easy to photograph.  The morning was one of Austin’s perfect spring days, so as she sat by Bull Creek playing her flute for a few alfresco band portraits, you couldn’t help but appreciate what a great place we all live.  Jilly is going to UT this fall and planning on trying out for the Longhorn Band.  Tryouts are over Memorial Weekend, so everyone be sure to send her positive thoughts and wish her luck.  It’s a tough competition.  She was part of UT’s Sideline Crew last fall, and said she loved helping out and watching the band rehearse – that’s what’s inspired her to one to be a part of the band

Right now she’s looking forward to her last school concert, where it will be the first time the band plays without the seniors.  Her section has 7 flutists, 4 are seniors, so it will be a big change!

Jilly picked out a great selection of clothing for her senior safari – don’t you think she certainly knows which colors look great on her!!!

Pasternak Family | Portraits

A perfect afternoon in the bluebonnets….

This year’s flower bounty in Austin is unparraleled to years before.  It’s been wonderful enjoying them line our roadsides & hillsides once again.  And photographing the Pasternak family amongst our favorite Texas flower couldn’t be a better choice.  Although I’ve photographed this laughing loving family for years, this was the first time in the bluebonnets.   I really don’t know which is bluer – the Pasternaks’ remarkably blue eyes, or Austin’s famous flower!  What do you think?  I met Allison and the kids at a local county park right after school one afternoon for some play time in the wildflowers, and soon dad roared up on his motorcycle to join in the fun.  And you can really tell how the family dynamics turned to the wild side as his children delighted in seeing their dad after work!
