2011 Clients. What a fantastically full year!

Wow! What a year!
We are truly blessed.
Just look at all of these beautiful, cheerful and kind people who surrounded us this year. Cheers to these brave folks who stepped in front of the camera this year! As you know, it’s hardly easy being a model. But it is FUN. And it’s worth it…even when it’s 100 degrees or 35. Rainy and muddy. Dry and crackly. Prickly or sticky. And they all said it is worth it. Their pictures they will hold for ages and share with their kids’ kids’ kids.

With clients like these, we are the most fortunate photographers around. Thank you, 2011 clients. You make our days bright and cheerful.

Now….who oh who will 2012 brings to our door!

Varsity Posters. Every year each group comes us with a unique slogan that sets the tone for their season. It’s emphasized on posters, shirts, Facebook pages, websites, locker rooms, etc. We LOVE working with these athletes and coming up with creative ways to support their team and document the year. Kyle is awesome! He was so relaxed in front of the camera. Come to think of it, whenever I’ve been around him he’s always really relaxed and easy-going. It helps that he comes from a really fun, athletic and character-filled family. I’ve had the privilege to photographing them twice….the first time was a few years ago when Kayla graduated (….aww how they’ve grown-check it out HERE). They are all soccer studs and you would probably see one or some of them around Soccer Zone. Kyle is sharp with numbers like his mom and friendly as can be like his dad. Northern Illinois University gets to welcome him on their men’s soccer team next year. Good luck up north Kyle!

I first photographed them a few years ago when Lauren graduated and we took her senior pictures as well as some family pictures at that time. I’ve been looking forward to working with them ever since .

“Abbey was born smiling” her mom said….and I think has been smiling every since! From a extremely loving and fun family (I had a great time photographing the whole Despain bunch a couple of years ago), this second oldest certainly is all smiles and carries a BIG heart. Cheerful, bubbly, kind, sweet, colorful and an all round delightful person to be around. And I hear a great storyteller! I’d be curious to hear the stories she tells from our photo shoot…… Perhaps the story of dancing at the metro station, meeting our new friend Iceman, or the countless dirty floors I made her lay on. I had a wonderful time getting to know and working with Abbey.

Thankfully we’ve had a bit of rain but during this shoot we found what might be the last bit of water in all of northwest Austin! Believe it or not, when we’re not in a drought, this place is full of water….even up to her head!
